7mm-08 FACTS: A wildcat cartridge for decades, Remington introduced the 7mm-08 in 1980 in the Model 788 and 700 BDL Varmint Special.  A simple to perform operation, taking a 308 Winchester and necking down to accept 7mm bullets and the end result is a very good performing round that is easy on recoil making a ideal choice for ladies and younger shooters.  Handloaders have a ample selection of bullets so this rifle can transition from varmints, to game or to silhouette shooters easily and effectively.   Here is a selection of .284 diameter bullets sold at Duck Creek
