7.5 X 55 Swiss, 7.5 Schmidt Rubin

50 factory new NORMA unprimed 7.5 X 55 Swiss brass cases, packaged from bulk.

HISTORY: Developed for the Swiss Army by mechanical engineer Lt. Col. Eduard Rubin developed the 7.5 X 55  ,used in the Schmidt–Rubin Model 1889 straight-pull rifle, original loaded with .307 174-grain bullet at 2,720 fps in the Model 1889.  Three other models followed: 1896/11, 1911 and Model 31.  The Model 11/7.5 Schmidt  uses .308 bullets which can be used in the later three models, NEVER in the 1889.  All load data found today is fir the Model 11 cartridge.  Note that the case head in the rifle model 1911 is not fully supported and can suffer from case rupture.  Affordable die sets are offered by Lee Precision and sold here at Duck Creek.
