Factory  new Winchester unprimed 6 mm Remington/244 Remington brass rifle cartridge cases packaged from bulk.  37 PCS

Odd numbers of cartridge cases are the result of bulk bagging.  Bulk brass is sold in barrels, generally by weight and it is not uncommon for odd number of pieces remain.

Brass case mouths MAY not be perfectly round from the manufacturing process, this can be corrected by running brass through the size die (always recommended) prior to loading. Residue from the annealing process may leave a stain on the case neck that can be removed by tumbling. Annealing involves rapid heating then cooling to impart the shell cases with the proper hardness to securely hold bullets in place and provides flexibility to expand and contract through multiple firings handloaders expect.

HISTORY: The 6mm Remington rifle cartridge, originally introduced in 1955 by Remington Arms Company as the .244 Remington, is based on a necked down .257 Roberts cartridge using a .243 dia. bullets.  Early Remington rifles had 1-12 twist and preferred 95 grains and less in bullet weights.  Remington changed rifling to 1-9 in 1958 to better stabilize heavier bullets.
