Starline .56-50 SPENCER is built to CIP specifications for operating in the Taylor Arms 56-50 Spencer.  Some originals may not eject properly with the smaller rim of .629-.632 inches.  Low-pressure loads seal better when case mouths are annealed.  SPECS: Max bullet seating depth of .375 inches, Rim Thickness: .057-.061 inches, Wall Thickness at mouth of case: .0125 inches.

Historical Notes: Originally a rimfire cartridge developed by Springfield Armory in 1861 and used in the Spencer Model 1865 seven-shot lever-action rifle.  Loaded with 350-grain bullet with 46-grain black powder charge, at the time considered a powerful short range rifle.
