Box with 50 factory new Hornady #8697 unprimed 458 LOTT brass
HISTORY: Big Game hunter and writer Jack Lott sustained injuries with a encounter with a Cape Buffalo while hunting Mozambique. The year was 1959 and he was using the then new 458 Winchester. The bad experience is what provided the inspiration for a more powerful dangerous game rifle. Originally the 458 Lott cases was achieved by fireforming 375 H&H brass, .458 diameter bullets need a rebated shank prior to seating into the H&H brass. A-Square offered the 458 Lott commercially in 1989.
