45-60 BRASS-vintage .45-60 Winchester

Vintage Winchester .45-60 Winchester.  18 fired case and one live round in Winchester slip top box .  Box condition is worn but intact.  CIRCA 1880’s-1890’s.

.45-60 Winchester was introduced in 1879,  designed for the Winchester Model 1876.  Production of the cartridge stopped in 1935, the rifle declared discontinued in 1897.   Original load was a charge of 60-grains black powder.
