Firearm and Ammunition Technician Elgin Gates was a key figure in International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association and one project that interested him was a handgun capable of knocking down targets at 200 meters.  This new .445 SUPER MAG cartridge is 3/8 inch longer version of a  44 Mag shoots a .430 diameter bullet 200 fps faster than the parent round and initially released in a Dan Wesson heavy frame revolver.
