HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
The .348 Winchester was introduces in 1936 for the legendary Winchester Model 71, which succeeded the Model 1886. The cartridge is based on a shortened .50-110 case (2.255″ in length) and necked down to accept a .348″ bullet. Although the Winchester Model 71 was discontinued in 1958, .348 Win brass remains popular with lever-action fans, collectors, and reloaders. Browning began selling replica Model 71 rifles from 1987 through 1991. Currently only a handful of bullet manufactures offer a true .348 Winchester bullet, click here to view what is sold here at Duck Creek.
