50 Factory new Hornady #86627 unprimed 30-40 Krag brass rifle shell casings
HISTORY: The first smokeless rifle cartridge adopted by the US Army in 1892. Originally a Norwegian design, the Model 92 Krag-Jorgensen featured a slide-loading magazine and a single locking lug which does not lend the design in being capable of excessive pressures (SAAMI maximum average 40,000 CUP). Chambers on the Krag-Jorgensen have long throats in order to handle the long 220 grain round nose. Winchester Models 1885 and 95 can be found chambered in the 30-40 Krag as well as Ruger Number 3.
