Vintage Remington .25 STEVENS RIMFIRE ammunition.  Lead-Flat Point (L-FP)

Box vintage 1926-1929.  Structurally the box is not solid, it is held together with tape. Missing both one-piece end flaps and thumb cuts. slide out try is also taped together on one end.

Most experts settle on the date of 1900 on the appearance of the  25 Stevens , a joint effort by J. STENENS ARMS and the PETERS CARTRIDGE COMPANY and was one of the calibers offered in the Stevens “CRACK SHOT” #15 rifle.  Original load of 10-grains of black powder pushing a 67-grain bullet.  Discontinued in 1942 where the only propellent used was smokeless.
