HISTORY:  220 Russian is the parent case for 22 PPC, 6 mm PPC and the 6.5 Grendel. The 220 was developed in the late 1950’s for deer hunting in Russia, it is a 7.62 X 39 mm necked down to hold .224 diameter bullets.
