Vintage WINCHESTER #K2235C factory ammunition “Made for Model 54 & 70 and Savage” rifles,   22 HORNET ammunition, 40-grain Hollow Points (HP) bullets loaded, 50 ROUNDS.

Box is missing end caps, box end separated along top edge.  Ammunition has patina.

• “STAYNLESS – NON-MERCURIC” primers

• Red/cream/yellow large “W” Super Speed design

• Reference to Winchester Models 54 and 70 (Model 70 introduced in 1936)Those details place it solidly in the late 1930s to early 1940s, most commonly circa 1936–1942. Once WWII production ramped up, civilian packaging like this largely disappeared.
