HISTORY: 250 Savage cases have been used to create .22-caliber wildcats, this dates back to the 1930s. The official cartridge known today as the 22-250 Remington became a standard production rifle released by Remington in 1967 to compete against Winchesters’ more powerful Swift.
Most 22-250’s are content with bullets ranging from 50 through 60-grain weights, faster twist barrels can shoot heavier bullets effectively. A personnel favorite is the 52-grain Hornady Hollow Point Boat Tail. Also the ELD-M is a excellent bullet and good results can be obtained with the Speer Match hollow point. (click here). Many shooters favor the 55-grain for all-around performance, here there is a broad variety to select from. (shop 55-grain click here).
