Description
219 ZIPPER brass for sale
FORMED 219 ZIPPER brass. Unfired Starline .30-30 cases are used in this process. 21 PCS of fully processed brass, sized and trimmed.
The .219 Zipper was introduced by Winchester in 1937 and originally chambered in the Model 64 lever-action rifle. Production of that rifle ended around 1945. Marlin later chambered the cartridge in the Model 336, but the .219 Zipper was dropped from their lineup in 1961.
The .219 Zipper is based on the .25-35 Winchester case and was designed to deliver greater varmint performance than the .218 Bee. That goal was met, with 55-grain bullets achieving velocities in excess of 3,000 fps—impressive performance for its era and still relevant to handloaders today.
Reloading data for the .219 Zipper is published in both the Hornady Reloading Handbook, 3rd Edition and the Hornady Reloading Handbook, 4th Edition. Both editions are currently available here at Duck Creek.
