Non-Lead Bullets

Monolithic bullets are harder and lighter than lead core bullets. Bullet selection for production rifles will be lighter than their lead core counter parts. This is required to maintain proper cartridge C.O.L. and achieve accuracy and velocity. Strive to have down range velocity of at least 2,000 fps at expected hunting ranges; non-lead takes on the characteristics of a solid at slower velocity. The selections offered at duckcreeksportinggoods.com are selected to achieve such a task.

Heavier, longer bullets intended for long range shooting should be used in rifles with a faster twist barrel to properly stabilize and achieve accuracy, single loading may be required. Custom rifle makers are building “Copper Guns” in order to maximize the heavier monolithic bullets.
