Ordinary People, Extraordinary Freedom
As we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July, I want to take the time to appreciate the fact that we are blessed to live in the greatest nation in human history. This all happened because the Declaration of Independence codified that we are endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. From there, the colonists overcame overwhelming odds by winning the War of Independence, and the aftermath is a country where we can live freely in. I have to quote the late Rush Limbaugh; he was truly the best at articulating and explaining American values in profound and understandable statements, like “The greatest nation in human history…ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things made possible by the fact that our country was founded acknowledging that our freedom comes from God, not from the government.”

Tracking Numbers
For those of you who are new to our site and ordering process, here’s a quick overview of what to expect:
After placing your order, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout. Your tracking number will also be sent to that same email address once your order ships, allowing you to follow its progress.
The sender will appear as Duck Creek Sporting Goods, and the subject line will include the name of the item(s) you ordered.
Please be sure to check your Spam, Junk, or Trash folders if you don’t see these emails in your inbox. It’s important to keep an eye out for them and avoid deleting them by mistake, as they contain key information about your order and shipment.
Capital One Credit Card Declines Purchases
Recently, I became aware that some transactions are being randomly declined for customers using Capital One cards. This is especially perplexing given that Capital One is the sponsoring bank for the Cabela’s Club Member program.
If you’re attempting to make a purchase from Duck Creek or another firearm-related business and your transaction is declined, try using a different card if available – this usually resolves the issue. The two most common explanations given by Capital One are either “insufficient funds” or a “suspected fraudulent transaction.” As you know, we are a legitimate and secure business. In many cases, even after the customer approves the transaction via a follow-up email from the bank, I’m still unable to complete the sale.
If you encounter this issue, we recommend contacting Capital One customer service directly to report the problem and express your concerns. Are these targeted declines against the firearms industry? It’s possible.
Happy 4th of July!
