HISTORY of the 45 AUTO: John Browning invented the .45 AUTOMATIC COLT PISTOL (45 A.C.P.) in 1905 and became the largest auto pistol caliber used by the US Army in 1911. Military ammunition is based on 230-grain FMJ at 850 FPS. Duck Creek has cast lead, plated, FMJ and Hollow Point bullets ranging from 185 to 230-grain.
