HISTORY: A belted magnum derived from the 375 H&H,the 7 mm Remington Magnum rifle cartridge was introduced in 1962 along with the new Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle. The concept of the belt is to provide precise headspacing. Remington created the popular 7 Mag so hunters can own a rifle with more punch than a ’06 but more noticeable recoil. With today’s selection of reloading components the 7 Mag can be custom tailored to match most hunting and shooting applications.
